All in all, I had a pretty good day at my first fair. The people I shared the booth with were nice, the rain held off until the late afternoon, and it was great to get out and get some response to my products. Check back soon for more updates! I am hoping to line up some more shows soon.
Cheers!

My craft show display is coming along well so far. I still have a bit of work to do on them. I apologize for the poor nighttime lighting in my apartment. Some early shots:

Hard at Work for my Upcoming Show

7th Heaven Fair in Park Slope, June 21!
My first craft show is coming up in one short week, and I have been hard at work getting all my stuff ready. Not only do I need product, I also need tables banners, tables, signs and more. This weekend I made the banner pictured above for the front of my table. Below is the table I made. I couldn't find something that folded down small enough for easy transport (since I will be walking with a cart about 20 blocks to the site), so I designed and made one. I'll have my location in a day or two.

I apologize for the poor pictures but there is no time for yon light to come striking through the window for a stunning view. Onward!

Paper or Plastic?

As I prepare for my first craft show, I have to take care of all the details in a short time. I need tables, displays, a way to haul my stuff around, inventory and the list goes on. One of the things I've struggled with is bags. I need bags for my monsters. It is really cheap to get a lot of plastic bags, but I try to not use them because of their environmental impact. Paper bags are a better choice, but more expensive and heavier. I spent hours scouring the web looking at different suppliers and prices. In the end, I have decided to go with paper bags, even though the cost is more than doubled. I expect to be visited and hugged by a bunch of trees very soon.

Panda with Cookie Goes Live

Gentle Reader! I will be doing my first craft fair in less than 2 weeks and am feeling behind and stressed. I will be at the 7th heaven fair in Park Slope on Sunday June 21. I don't have my exact location yet, but will update you when I do. My blogging will be sporadic until then, as I have mush to do. But I will try to post some updates as I attempt to get tables, chairs, carts, a set up and display, stock made and a million details taken care of.
Oh my.
