Some New Eco-Friendly Additions to Panda With Cookie
I am so pleased to finally have some Eco-Spun felt to work with! I discovered it in other Etsy seller's shops and love that it is both vegan and more environmentally friendly. It is made from 100% post consumer recycled plastic bottles and will work nicely for my uses. I got some a couple of weeks ago and have finally had time to try it out. I have panda head ornaments up now and hope to expand into some more colors for future monster projects.
Enjoy!

Wee Tiny Monster Plush Giveaway
The time has finally come for my first ever wee monster giveaway Panda With Cookie Etsy shop promotion!
Are you excited yet? Why yes!
I am giving away the navy blue wee monster you see pictured above to one lucky blog commenter.
How do I enter, for I am giddy with the possibility of winning a wee monster, you may ask?
To enter, leave a comment in this post with the listing link to a favorite item in my shop Panda With Cookie.
But that isn't enough, I want multiple chances to win that fabulous little guy?
But of course! For an extra entry, make a blog post on your own blog about this contest and then zip back here to comment with a link to your posting.
Still not enough? For 2 extra entries, write a haiku about wee monster. I am looking for the 5-7-5 haiku format.
Please leave a way to reach you in your comment, either through a blog, etsy shop or email.
Contest ends at 11:00 pm on March 31. The winner will be chosen at random on Thursday, April 1, the fooliest of days and I will contact the winner then.
Each person may only enter in each category once. If you have 72 blogs, you only get 1 extra entry for blogging.
Please feel free to convo or email me if you have any questions. World wide entries are most welcome.

Pile O' Fleece: The Summit of the Creative Process
I have new fabric which means I will soon have exciting new products for sale in my etsy shop, Panda With Cookie.
I have a large pile o' fleece that will become my new line of Not-So-Scary Monsters.
I love going to a fabric or craft store and picking up new supplies. There is something about the latent magic in a pile of fabric that is exciting. It can become anything you choose to make. The moment right before creation is one of my favorite times of the creative process. There are so many possibilities and you can visualize perfectly how something will turn out. In the process, compromises will be made and ultimately I'll be pleased with the result. But nothing quite beats the time right before the magic happens.
As a bonus in the picture, you can see the ears of Pirate Bunny in the background. His favorite moment is when he gets to swashbuckle. Yarr!
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Panda With Cookie on the Front Page of Etsy
My leaf wall hanging made it into the Etsy front page yesterday afternoon. Woo!
Huge thanks to Jeanette from Vessels and Wares for featuring my work in her treasury, just this. Her purple berry bowl is one of my favorite things from her shop.

A Week of Winning
A wonderful week of winning things. First earrings, then a blog award and now another pair of earrings from Starrlight Jewelry.
She had a recent blog giveaway that asked readers to leave a comment about their environmentally friendly practices and a winner would be chosen at random. I was then informed that she had so kindly decided to give everyone who entered a free pair of earrings. I chose the ones pictured above, which I received just yesterday. Packaged in a small black pouch, they were a pleasure to come home to after a long day at work.
Read her blog to find a bunch of environmentally friendly ideas in the comments from the giveaway. And to stay tuned for other giveaways and etsy news.

A Major Award
Mini Mocs called to my attention in my previous post that she had passed on the "Best Blog Daily Thinker" award to me. I am a bit late in my acceptance speech, and will have to search out 10 others to pass this on to. But many thanks to My Mini Mocs and all who follow my blog. I promise to come up with a thoughtful post soon!

I Won!
I learned last week that I won my first ever blog giveaway from LoChristine. I received the lovely pair of earrings pictured above. They came packaged in a delightful leaf stamped box and as soon as it stops snowing I will be able to remove my winter hats and show them off.
In addition to her etsy shop, she blogs at lochristine, and is doing monthly blog contests, so be sure to follow along for your chance to win as well.

Etsy Treasury Sunday
I have not forgotten you, gentle reader. I have quite the hefty work schedule for the next month or so and have been a bit busy and stressed. I come to you this morning to thank some fellow Etsians for featuring me in their treasuries.
First up is It's Alive, by Bright Design, who is a fellow New Yorker and vegan Etsy team member. She featured my pirate bunny that I posted about last week. She sells zines, prints and shirts, such as the one shown below.
Next is Spring Greens, featuring my green not-so-scary monster.
This group was put together by Karramandi, who has a relatively new shop with soaps and lip balms. I am all about lavender in the spring. And although it isn't quite here yet, it is never too late to stock up now and pretend it is warm out.
And finally, last nigth I was selected for She Sells Sea Shells, showing my nature cyanotype prints. This lovely group was arranged by Kelle's Kitchen, who also sells soap (possibly by the sea shore). You can join her soap o' the month club and always feel clean.
